Tips for the Week

Spring is here, and it's the perfect time to get outdoors and make the most of the warmer, sunny weather.

The sunshine and fresh air will do wonder for you and your baby..

  • put baby into the pram, and walk walk walk! Remember to take a big bottle of water with you.
  • head for the beach - play in the sand, splash in the water, and have lots of fun. But don't forget the sun hat and sunscreen for BOTH of you
  • explore your garden - enjoy the fresh air while your little one plays with the leaves, flower and grass
  • round up your coffee group (or a group of friends) and head for the park or local playground
  • if you haven't already, enquire about swimming classes in your area.  Teaching your child to swim is a good precaution (and lots of fun!) with a long summer ahead

When I found out I was pregnant it was a surprise to say the least. I wasn’t a super-skinny body type to start with, I could find many excuses not to exercise and definitely didn’t know the word ‘no’ around a tempting ice-cream sundae! However when I found myself pregnant I did make the commitment to myself to kept fit for the baby and my own state of mind.
